Who We Are
5R Research Inc. is a technological development firm that was founded in 1996 to develop, manufacture, and sell its premier launch product: the M100 Magnetic ElutriatorTM.
The 5R team recognizes the contributions of approximately 15 experts in the United States. Major contributors include individuals who have received the highest level of proficiency in their fields. They include metallurgical engineers, R&D scientists, proven entrepreneurs, capital project managers, legal and corporate financial specialists. Over its 15 year history 5R Research Inc. has performed contract engineering and R&D - services including chemical engineering, prototype & process development, byproduct recycling/treatment & feasibility, project management, proposal writing, scope & cooperative R&D development strategy. Our experts engage friends and professional colleagues at corporations, universities, and research institutes around the world.
All process development & engineering design is performed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our pilot plant testing, and analytical facilities are leased from 5R Processors Ltd., an independently owned LLC with whom we have a strategic alliance.

Chief EngineerA 25-year veteran of the iron mining industry and former Chief Engineer at Evtac Mining Co., Robert Anderson directs engineering activities and project management for both conceptual design and plant integration of magnetic elutriation systems.
